Krista and Johnny // A Vintage Inspired Ventura Wedding

Krista and Johnny's vintage inspired wedding was something out of a dream. From her classic long sleeved dress and side swept gorgeous curls to the beautiful use of florals throughout the wedding. Plus who can resist those rose gold sequined Badgley Mischka bridesmaids gowns??

The whole day felt like those photos you find in a vintage trunk of a couple who said "I Do" in Hawaii just before the groom gets shipped off to war. I mean it may be a bit of a stretch considering we were in Ventura and not the tropical island of Hawaii but Krista's family does have Hawaiian heritage and Johnny is in the Navy so maybe I'm not so far off? :) And that field for their romantic portraits just added to my vision of the Hawaiian plantation. I loved it.

Going into this wedding, I knew it was going to be a great party and the amount of love that their families have just makes you want to be a part of it. It sure did not disappoint. It was such a joy to photograph a wedding where the bride and groom trusted you completely which allowed them to be more relaxed and to enjoy their day.
