Eric and Arbel // Walt Disney Concert Hall Session

One day, around May or June, I was talking to a mutual friend and she was telling me about how Arbel was planning to propose to Eric sometime in August at Disneyland. I’ve never photographed a proposal at Disneyland before so I told her to tell him that I would love to photograph it!

He was so excited that I would be there to capture the moment.

Fast forward a little bit, the summer was unusually slow for me (welcomed but unusual) so I took the opportunity to do some sessions that would get those creative juices flowing. I wanted to photograph some same sex couples because I don’t get to do it very often and I want to show that I am inclusive to everyone no matter what. This is where Eric and Arbel came in. My same mutual friend said to me, “How fun would it be to do an “engagement shoot” before Arbel proposes and Eric has no idea.” YES. So fun. And even better, we chose to do it at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA as an ode to the upcoming proposal at Disneyland. It also helps that the concert hall is epic too.

The shoot was so fun and even their dog Remi got to join in for a few photos. I’m obsessed with how this turned out and you want to know something that makes it better? Just a couple weeks later, Eric said YES in front of their family and friends on a very warm but very special day at the Happiest Place on Earth.
